Tuesday tropical update: Invest 92-L expected to become Isias
Invest 92 has a high chance of developing over the next few days and could become Tropical Storm Isaias.
The National Hurricane Center says a disturbance is expected to become Tropical Storm Isaias before reaching the Caribbean Sea this week.
The disturbance, which has been classified as Potential Tropical Cyclone 9, has maximum sustained winds of 40 mph as it moves west for the next few days. Forecasters expect some strengthening over the next 48 hours and the system is expected to become a tropical storm Tuesday night or Wednesday.
