Santiago streets disinfected against virus

(2 Apr 2020) Sanitation crews took to the streets of Santiago on Monday and Tuesday night to clean them to help minimize the spread of the coronavirus.
Vehicles with a capacity to hold 2,000 litres of sanitizing liquid sprayed the streets and bus stops of the Chilean capital overnight Tuesday.
The Mayor of Santiago, Felipe Alessandri, watched as the effort was underway saying he hoped it would help keep the over 2.5 million commuters downtown Santiago sees each day remain healthy.
Chile currently has more than 3,404 cases of coronavirus and 18 deaths.
For most people, the new coronavirus causes mild or moderate symptoms, such as fever and cough that clear up in two to three weeks.
For some, especially older adults and people with existing health problems, it can cause more severe illness, including pneumonia, and could lead to death.
