Puerto Rico national guard is preparing to medically check all passenger...
The head of the Puerto Rico National Guard, General Jose Reyes, told me that members of his medical unit team will take the temperature of every passenger arriving at every airport on the island to check for symptoms of #covid19. Beyond that, Reyes says he's been in talk with federal officials about having access to a military hospital ship called "Comfort" if the Puerto Rico healthcare system is overwhelmed with infected patients. "Comfort" was sent to Puerto Rico after Hurricane Maria. General Reyes also says he is evaluating an option to use a former Navy installation in Puerto Rico, known as Roosevelt roads, as a base camp for infected patients in need of isolation.
